Gilbert Arenas undergoes surgery on his left knee again
Breaking news from reports that Gilbert Arenas, superstar point guard of the Washington Wizards, will miss the first month of the season after ungoing surgery on his left knee once again. He told the Washington Post that he decided to go into surgery again due to some floating debris that was irritating his knees. He expects to return even faster in December.
This has been the second surgery in the past two seasons on his left knee. I just hope he can recover asap so he can lead his team to a better record than last season. He signed a six-year, $111 million contract over the summer. So this franchise is depending on Arenas to lead his team to a successful season and run in the playoffs. I remember watching the Wizards/Cavaliers series last season. There was lots of hype built up from the beef between LeBron James and DeShawn Stevenson. Of course, the “overrated” King of Cleveland beasted on Washington. He averaged over 30+ points almost every game in the series.
But that’s not the point I’m trying to make. When Gilbert returned to the court, I was very anxious to see how he’d perform. Although LeBron stole the show, Arenas held his own very well. In the 28 minutes he played, he scored 24 points. He was 8-for-16 in field goals, including 4-for-5 in three point shooting.
Wizard superstars Butler, Arenas, and Jamison
With that said, I wish Gilbert Arenas a fast, healthy recovery. I respect his game very much. The Washington Wizards did a great job last season without him. Antawn Jamison and Caron Butler will need Arenas if they expect to have a deep run in the playoffs.
They arent going anywhere. With or without Arenas.
they need a lowpost presence. They should trade either Caron or Arenas in exchange for one…… namely: Pau Gasol or Jermaine Oneal.

Lol. Yeah, I sometimes read up on Gilbert’s blog whenever I stumble upon it. It’s interesting from his perspective since he’s a NBA player, especially when he talks about other NBA players.
