Found this on . Seems like Britain’s Environmental Transport Association is working on roadways that would generate power just from cars passing over it. These roadways would have tiny piezoelectric crystals in them, and every time a car squishes one it produces electricity. They estimate that 1 kilometer of this roadway would produce 400-kilowatts of energy. Seems really cool, gives hope to civilization being more efficient in the future. For more information go .
